Senator EDWARDS (South Australia) (14:49): My question is to the Minister representing the Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, Senator Wong. I refer the minister to a recent analysis conducted by the Advertiser in her home state of South Australia showing that, under the Gillard government's carbon tax, the average South Australian family will pay $3,231 for their electricity bills—a whopping increase of around 16 per cent from the last financial year. How can the Gillard government stand by its claim that the world's biggest carbon tax will be good for South Australians?
