Mr SHORTEN ( Maribyrnong ) ( 14:23 ): My question is to the Minister for the NDIS. I've met Gold Coast mum Shannon Manning, who lives in the minister's electorate of Fadden. She's still waiting today, after more than a year, for her profoundly disabled daughter, Meadow, to get a wheelchair and a hoist. In the meantime she's injured herself lifting her daughter. Are the shortfalls in care and delays like this being caused by the massive underspend of $1.6 billion in the NDIS?
