Senator BOB BROWN (Tasmania—Leader of the Australian Greens) (14:29): Finally, I ask the minister a further supplementary question. Is it a fact that if a child misses, in early education, a music education it can be well nigh impossible to pick up that education later in life? An opposition senator: That's an opinion. Senator BOB BROWN: The senator says it is an opinion. I am asking for a fact here. I ask the minister whether he could tell the Senate the advantages of an early childhood education in music in terms of the outcomes of education at the other end of schooling.
