Dr HAINES (Indi) (14:14): My question is to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development. It's been over 14 months since the Regions at the ready report. A blueprint for regional development was delivered to the government. The government then referred the report to an expert panel, which reported back within six weeks. That was six months ago. Regional Australia has now been waiting two years for the government to announce its plans for regional development. Can the Deputy Prime Minister please update the House about the findings of the expert panel and the government's time line to implement the recommendations of the Regions at the ready report?
