Senator CICCONE (Victoria—Deputy Government Whip in the Senate) (14:58): My question is to the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Senator Watt. Minister, we know that low wages was a deliberate design feature of the previous Liberal government's economic architecture. It turns out that funding cliffs were also a design feature of the previous government. Minister, could you please explain to the Senate why it is so important to provide long-term funding certainty for essential biosecurity services, and how this protects our $76 billion agricultural export trade?
