Senator GALLAGHER (Australian Capital Territory—Manager of Opposition Business in the Senate) (14:05): My question is to the Minister for Finance, Senator Cormann. I refer to the minister, who told the Senate: We are actually delivering more jobs and a lower unemployment rate, and guess what: wages growth is actually picking up. But labour force data released today shows that 19,000 jobs were lost in the last month, that unemployment is up and that underemployment is up. Given downgrades to economic growth, continuing record low wages growth and worsening employment figures, when will the Morrison government finally act to turn around the economy stagnating under its watch?
