Senator WONG (South Australia—Leader of the Opposition in the Senate) (14:26): My question is to the Minister for Finance, Senator Cormann. Treasury has confirmed that the $42 billion stage 3 of the government's Personal Income Tax Plan, which doesn't start for six years, goes to the top 20 per cent of income earners. Given that stage 3 of the government's income tax plan will cost $10.4 billion a year by 2028 and that it grows at 12 per cent a year, can the minister confirm that, over the longer term, stage 3 of the government's tax plan is the most expensive?
