According to the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, 12 per cent of Aboriginal Australians defer GP visits for more than a year because of costs, more than twice the rate of the general population. Won't imposing a $7 GP tax further deter Aboriginal Australians from seeking medical help when they need it?
