Senator Arbib: The Minister for Human Services has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question: (1) The Department did not pay any allowances to employees or contractors for working at sea during the 2010-11 financial year. (2) The Department's prevailing collective agreements do not contain provision for the payment of an allowance for working at sea. (3) No time was spent at sea by departmental employees or contractors in the 2010-11 financial year.
