I also refer the minister to comments yesterday made by Senator Sterle that truck drivers get help to ensure 'hard-working men and women in the transport industries are fully protected and compensated for their efforts'. Can the minister explain why the Prime Minister has refused to exempt truck drivers from petrol price increases as a result of the introduction of the carbon tax?
