As with Israel and other issues at the Labor Party's upcoming national conference, is Labor's decision to scrap this facility yet another example of the bitter internal backroom Labor factional deal being prioritised over the national interest? The government's decision today has left no plan for ANSTO to handle its waste in the future. What does the government plan to do with that waste when room runs out at Lucas Heights?
