Ms SHARKIE (Mayo) (14:20): My question is to the Minister for the Environment. The Australian Walking Company has state government approval to build accommodation within the Flinders Chase National Park on Kangaroo Island. Development will clear several kilometres of remnant native vegetation in the national park. Minister, in your letter to me dated 9 September 2019, you advised that, on the direct advice of the developer, you will not review the proposal despite broad community concerns of environmental damage. Why are you only listening to the developer and not my community, and would you please reconsider investigating this proposal with respect to potential environmental damage in our national park?
