Why did the minister and the government fail to heed the multiple warnings from the tourism industry, cabinet minister Martin Ferguson, Webjet, the New South Wales and Victorian premiers and Qantas and not intervene earlier, particularly when certain union officials were saying, 'This is going to be a big fight to the death,' and, 'We will bake them slowly'?
