Senator RUSTON (South Australia—Minister for Families and Social Services and Manager of Government Business in the Senate) (15:01): Recipients will benefit from this in a number of ways. Most particularly, in addition to the change in the assessment model, for which the legislation is due to come before this place this week, it will also assist with the application and integration with the Single Touch Payroll data system, which means that welfare recipients can now have their employment and income details pre-filed, similar to what occurs on your tax returns. Through the advances that we have seen through the ATO, this will allow the information that employers report, as part of the system every fortnight, to populate Centrelink forms, which can be used as a prompt for recipients when they are filing their fortnightly returns. The recipient will still be required to validate their form. So, they are still able to make changes, if they believe the information contained in the pre-populated form may be inaccurate. It will assist in ensuring that we are not seeing underestimating or overestimating. (Time expired) The PRESIDENT: Senator Davey, a final supplementary question?
