Senator McGRATH (Queensland—Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister) (15:57): I seek leave to make a short statement. The PRESIDENT: Leave is granted for one minute. Senator McGRATH: Australia has a strong track record of participating in global emissions reduction agreements and meeting and beating our emissions reduction targets while maintaining economic and population growth. Since the coalition government came to office, Australia's economy has grown by more than $200 million and more than one million jobs have been created. The coalition government's approach to addressing climate change is ensuring that we maintain energy security and affordability, as well as the competitiveness of our industries. The PRESIDENT: The question is that motion No. 941 be agreed to.
