Senator NASH (New South Wales—Deputy Leader of The Nationals in the Senate and Assistant Minister for Health) (15:01): I thank the senator for his question. Certainly the issue of country of origin labelling is one that is raised with me on many occasions, particularly across rural and regional communities. I am very well aware of the issue when it comes to country of origin labelling of seafood. Nobody who has been involved with the Senate rural affairs committee with Senator Bill Heffernan would be unaware of that particular issue. The government is working through that at the moment. Our priority is to ensure that, when it comes to labelling, we will have a process in place to make sure that that is being addressed.
