Minister, you are clearly concerned about the chilling effect of anti-hate-speech laws, despite citing no real evidence that the fear of a court-ordered apology is stifling legitimate public debate. Why then should not artists have the same freedom of expression to dissociate themselves, without the threat of the loss of their funding, from a cause that might go against their own values?
