Operational information is provided by the Sri Lankan authorities to the Australian authorities on a confidential basis. (2) Customs and Border Protection are not aware of any requests from Sri Lankan authorities to return suspected irregular entry vessels to Sri Lanka. (3) No. Customs and Border Protection did not receive any instruction to intercept any boat before it entered Australian waters.
