Senator GALLAGHER (Australian Capital Territory—Manager of Opposition Business in the Senate) (12:46): Mr President, I seek leave to make a short statement. The PRESIDENT: Leave is granted for one minute. Senator GALLAGHER: Labor will not be supporting this motion. I am again going to call out the Greens for continuing to bring motions into this place that seek to divide those in this chamber who want to see genuine action on climate change and work together to deliver it. This is another variation of the many motions you bring into this chamber every week for the sole purpose of dividing the progressive vote, showing that you are 'holier than thou' and making sure we are in a position where we are forced to vote against it. We put our hand out to you and say: why don't we, for a change, work together on issues of climate change and try to get things through this parliament that will make a difference? The PRESIDENT: The question is that motion No. 204 be agreed to.
