Senator BRANDIS (Queensland—Attorney-General, Vice-President of the Executive Council and Leader of the Government in the Senate) (14:14): Senator Chisholm, what I can tell you is that the Liberal party room yesterday was treated to a very, very extensive presentation by the Minister for the Environment and Energy, Mr Frydenberg, and a briefing by Mr John Pierce and Ms Audrey Zibelman, the CEO of AEMO. We had a long discussion. It was a discussion, if my memory serves me correctly, that went for almost 2½ hours, in which all of the different aspects of this policy—the premises; the projections; the estimates; and the assessment of, in particular, the experts, Audrey Zibelman and John Pierce—were explored by many of my colleagues. As a result of that, I'm delighted to say the policy was adopted by acclamation by the government party room.
