Senator SIEWERT (Western Australia—Australian Greens Whip) (12:13): I move: That the Senate— (a) welcomes the $9 million for Purple House to deliver dialysis services in Alice Springs and remote communities in Central Australia, and the $10 million in accommodation infrastructure funding; (b) congratulates the advocates who have ensured that dialysis accommodation funding, which was first promised in 2011, has finally been delivered to remote communities; (c) urges the Federal Government to work closely with the Northern Territory Government to ensure that the renal infrastructure funding is quickly translated into outcomes for remote communities; and (d) calls on the Federal Government to ensure remote communities in the north of the Northern Territory are resourced to meet their need for on‑country dialysis.
