Senator IAN MACDONALD (Queensland) (17:28): I seek leave to table and consider the Scrutiny of Bills Committee report now, with myself, Senator Edwards, who is a member of the committee, and Senator Fifield—should I not be able to finish my 10 minutes—having up to 15 minutes to talk on the consideration of the report. By way of explanation, I indicate that I was going to move an amendment to the substantive motion to provide for that. It was agreed, I thought, by the government for me, instead of moving the amendment, to be given leave to do that. The PRESIDENT: If you are seeking leave that is not in my hands, as you know. I will ask if leave is granted. Is leave granted?
