Senator Siewert asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, upon notice, on 7 November 2011: In regard to the current field trials of experimental genetically modified wheat, if any of this wheat were to be found in human or animal food supplies; (a) would a cleanup be required; if so, who would pay the costs of such a clean up; and (b) has the Government in any way agreed to limit the liability of those responsible for such contamination.
