Senator Johnston asked the Minister representing the Minister for Foreign Affairs, upon notice, on 25 March 2011: (1) How many departmental officials were reassigned to other duties to assist with managing recent emergencies in: (a) Egypt; (b) Libya; (c) Christchurch, New Zealand; and (d) Japan. (2) What is the usual position of each of these officials.
