Senator Chris Evans: The Minister for Defence has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question: For the period 1 July to 31 December 2010: (a) The following two projects received first pass approval: (i) AIR 5431 Phase 1 - Deployable Defence Air Traffic Management and Control System; and (ii) SEA 1442 Phase 4 - Maritime Communications Modernisation. (b) The following five projects received second pass approval: (i) AIR 5416 Phase 4B2 - C-130J LAIRCM (Long Lead Items); (ii) LAND 17 Phase 1B - Digital Terminal Control System; (iii) JP 154 Phase 1 - Joint Counter Improvised Explosive Device Capability; (iv) JP 154 Phase 1 - Force Protection Electronic Counter Measures; and (v) Classified Project (as this is a classified project, details are not available but remains listed as second pass approved). There were also two projects that received approval for re-scoping, they are: (i) AIR 5376 HUG - Hornet Structural Assurance Program Consolidation; and (ii) JP 129 Phase 2 - Airborne Surveillance for Land Operations.
