Mr GOODENOUGH (Moore—Second Deputy Speaker) (13:45): May I take this opportunity to thank the people of Moore, my constituents, who have sent me here as their representative. This year has been a particularly challenging one for many residents in our community, as we have faced both social and economic pressures and juggled cost-of-living issues. To all of our healthcare workers, emergency services personnel, community service workers and school educators: your contribution to our community is valued. This is also the time to thank the dedicated and skilled staff in my electorate office. Without them I would not be able to serve my community and respond to the volume of correspondence received. Thank you. I look forward to returning home and spending the next few weeks attending school graduations and community events and enjoying Christmas carols. Thank you to all the Parliament House staff—the clerks, the Serjeant-at-Arms, the office personnel, the cleaners, the Comcar drivers, the hospitality staff and the attendants—for your assistance on a daily basis. I wish you all a safe and restful holiday season with your family and friends, and, with your continued support, I look forward to returning in 2025 to continue making the community of Moore an even better place in which to live and work. Merry Christmas.
