Ms STEGGALL (Warringah) (15:10): Mr Speaker, I wish to make a personal explanation. The SPEAKER: Does the honourable member claim to have been misrepresented? Ms STEGGALL: Yes, with a number of members on the crossbench. The SPEAKER: You may proceed. Ms STEGGALL: The member for Page made an allegation of a 'teal party'. I know it may not be in his practice to read legislation— Honourable members interjecting— The SPEAKER: We are going to do this without commentary from the left and right. Okay? We're just going to show everyone a deal of respect, just as if anyone else was rising. It doesn't matter what the person is saying. They are entitled to do it under the standing orders. Ms STEGGALL: The member for Page made a misrepresentation earlier, during question time, indicating members of 'the teal party'. Of course, anyone who has read legislation will know there is no such thing, and our communities deserve the respect of their choice to be independently represented.
