Mr TAYLOR (Hume) (15:13): I wish to make a personal explanation. The SPEAKER: Do you claim to have been misrepresented? Mr TAYLOR: Most grievously. The SPEAKER: You may proceed. Mr TAYLOR: In question time today, the Prime Minister incorrectly stated that when I was energy minister we took 'four gigawatts out of the system and only put one back'. He has made similar claims in the past. This is plainly false. According to the Clean Energy Regulator, from 2019 to 2021 more than 18 gigawatts of new capacity was installed in each of those years. It was a stronger outcome than the entirety of the last Labor government.
