Mr KATTER (Kennedy) (16:42): I may be wrong, but I think I might be the longest-serving cabinet minister, or senior cabinet minister, anyway, in this parliament—in another place, mind you. But whenever we were in trouble and we had legislation which was, so to say, controversial, we rushed it through as fast as we could get it through. I have no doubt that that's what's happening here. Even though I am supportive of the tenet of this bill, I remain somewhat cynical about the intent of the current question before the House. The DEPUTY SPEAKER ( Ms Claydon ): The time for this debate has expired. The SPEAKER: The question is that the amendment moved by the Manager of Opposition Business be disagreed to.
