Mr LITTLEPROUD (Maranoa—Leader of the Nationals) (15:25): Mr Speaker, I believe during question time I was misrepresented. The SPEAKER: Do you claim to have been misrepresented? Mr LITTLEPROUD: I do, Mr Speaker. The SPEAKER: You may proceed. Mr LITTLEPROUD: During question time the Leader of the Opposition answered a question with respect to foot-and-mouth disease from a tweet I quoted on 9 May. I remind the House that that was during the caretaker provisions. He conveniently forgot to read out the last two lines of that tweet that demonstrated the actions that we were taking in conjunction and after consultation with the opposition— Ms Collins interjecting— Mr LITTLEPROUD: with respect to the caretaker provisions, Member for Franklin—that we would extend workings in not only Indonesia but Timor-Leste and Papua New Guinea. It is disappointing that the Prime Minister did not use the full text of that tweet to answer a question on a matter as serious as foot-and-mouth disease.
