Mr PORTER (Pearce—Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Leader of the House) (12:01): I move: That so much of the standing orders be suspended as would prevent the following from occurring in relation to proceedings of the House today: (1) the Prime Minister to move a motion of condolence in relation to the recent bushfires and debate on the motion to have precedence over all other business; (2) debate to continue until adjourned or resolved, if necessary beyond the usual time of adjournment of the House; (3) the Federation Chamber not to meet; (4) the House to adjourn on the motion of a Minister, without debate; and (5) any variation to this arrangement to be made only by a motion moved by a Minister. Question agreed to, with an absolute majority.
