Mr PYNE (Sturt—Leader of the House and Minister for Education) (13:28): I seek leave to move that government business take priority over standing order 43 until government notice No. 5 is completed. Leave not granted. Mr PYNE: In which case, I move: That so much of the standing orders be suspended as would prevent the member for Sturt from moving forthwith: That government business have priority over members’ statements for this sitting. This simply allows us to suspend the 90-second statements until the final debate management motion is completed. Should that take about 10 or 15 minutes it will allow about 15 minutes for 90-second statements before question time.
