Senator WONG (South Australia—Minister for Foreign Affairs and Leader of the Government in the Senate) (15:00): by leave—Earlier today, in debate, I invited the federal opposition to work with the government to make sure that the Defence Service Homes Amendment (Insurance) Bill 2025 is passed today alongside the FMIA bill. I flagged to the chamber, including the opposition, that, if they were serious about this, we would be circulating an amendment to the program which would have the Senate sit slightly later tonight to finish both bills. We will seek to bring it on—hopefully by agreement, given your previous position—later today. I invite the opposition to enable the change to the program that will enable both bills to be passed.
