Senator GALLAGHER (Australian Capital Territory—Minister for the Public Service, Minister for Finance, Minister for Women, Manager of Government Business in the Senate and Vice-President of the Executive Council) (11:41): I move: That on Monday, 10 February 2025: (a) the sitting of the Senate be suspended from 11.50 am till the ringing of the bells (at approximately 12.40 pm) to enable senators to attend the House of Representatives for the annual Closing the Gap statement; (b) the routine of business from the resumption of the Senate till 1.30 pm be the tabling and consideration of the Closing the Gap statement and related documents (to be considered as an item of government business); (c) the routine of business from 6.30 pm be government business only, commencing with further consideration of the Closing the Gap statement and related documents; and (d) the overall time limit for consideration of the statement and documents be 2 hours.
