Senator PAYMAN (Western Australia) (14:24): My question is to the Minister for Women, Senator Gallagher. I note the minister recently launched Working for women: a strategy for gender equality, which identified a number of areas of focus, including women's safety, sharing and valuing paid and unpaid care work, women's leadership and women's economic equality. I also understand that the Albanese Labor government will make a submission to the Fair Work Commission's 2023-24 annual wage review recommending that wages don't go backwards. Given that women are disproportionately represented in low-paid and award-reliant jobs, how will the government's submission advocate for these women workers in our economy?
