The PRESIDENT (15:34): It is with deep regret that I inform the Senate of the death on 21 October 2023 of the Hon. Bill Hayden AC, Governor-General from 1988 to 1996 and a former minister and member of the House of Representatives for the division of Oxley, Queensland, from 1961 to 1988.
