Senator DUNIAM (Tasmania—Assistant Minister for Forestry and Fisheries and Assistant Minister for Industry Development) (16:17): I seek leave to make a short statement. Leave is granted for one minute. Senator DUNIAM: As is the case with all migration matters, it's not appropriate for the Senate to deliberate on individual migration cases. This is irrespective of the case or the profile of any individual or family in question. Furthermore, senators would be asked to vote about a case without the full facts in front of them and, as is the case in this circumstance, where there are matters currently before the courts. The PRESIDENT: The question is that the motion moved by Senator McKim and others be agreed to.
