Senator DUNIAM (Tasmania—Assistant Minister for Forestry and Fisheries and Assistant Minister for Industry Development) (16:30): I seek leave to make a short statement. The DEPUTY PRESIDENT: Leave is granted for one minute. Senator DUNIAM: Australia has been a trusted energy supplier to our trading partners for decades and will continue to be under this government. The government will continue to support businesses and commercial sectors of the economy that are critical to our export wealth, our energy security, our economic prosperity and the employment of hundreds of thousands of Australians. Unilaterally withdrawing Australian production will not reduce global demand for those products and will harm Australia's economic interests and energy security and cost Australian jobs.
