Senator DUNIAM (Tasmania—Assistant Minister for Forestry and Fisheries and Assistant Minister for Industry Development) (16:39): I seek leave to make a short statement. The PRESIDENT: Leave is granted for one minute. Senator DUNIAM: The government is committed to improving transparency for patients in clinical and financial consent. The 2020-25 National Health Reform Agreement, which took effect from 1 July 2020, includes a commitment to national actions that will further improve the transparency of health performance. It will establish Commonwealth-state patient-level primary and community healthcare datasets; develop and implement a consistent approach to the collection and use of patient reported measures; build national-level evidence and improve care across the health system; and develop and implement enhanced performance reporting across the whole care pathway, including health outcomes and the interface between health and other sectors such as the disability and aged-care sectors. Question agreed to.
