Senator PAYNE (New South Wales—Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Women) (14:42): As I was saying in my remarks in the earlier response, the government are very conscious that JobKeeper has supported a large portion of the tourism industry and so we are considering how best to support economic recovery in the tourism sector when JobKeeper does conclude at the end of March this year. I would, however, also remind the chamber though that, as I have said previously, we have provided in the process of the response to the pandemic and in the 2020-21 budget a strong plan of support for the industry. That includes the $50 million for the Recovery for Regional Tourism Fund to boost tourism in nine regions— The PRESIDENT: Senator Green on a point of order. Senator Green: My point of order is on relevance. The question was very directly about when the Morrison government will make an announcement about support when JobKeeper ends. It's an incredibly important date for these businesses that need certainty now. The PRESIDENT: Senator Green, I have allowed you to make the point of the second part of your question. The minister is entitled to be directly relevant to any part of the question but minister is talking about the first part of the question and that is also directly relevant. Senator Payne. Senator PAYNE: I was going to respond further to the point of order, Mr President, but you dealt with that and so thank you very much. The PRESIDENT: My apologies. Senator PAYNE: That's alright, Mr President. Let me say in response to the point of order that I did respond to that part of Senator Green's question when I commenced my answer. I did respond to that. (Time expired) The PRESIDENT: Senator Green, a final supplementary question.
