Senator HANSON (Queensland—Leader of Pauline Hanson's One Nation) (15:49): I seek leave to make a short statement. The PRESIDENT: Leave is granted for one minute. Senator HANSON: One Nation recognises the scourge of family and domestic violence that does not discriminate against women or men. As identified in heterosexual, same-sex relationships, physical altercations between couples are not a matter of power imbalance. At a time when society continually seeks equality, whether that be in wages or employment, this motion fails to recognise the need for equal frontline funding for men's and women's domestic violence programs. Until this chamber acknowledges the hurt of domestic violence experienced by both sexes, One Nation will not support this motion. The PRESIDENT: The question is that the motion moved by Senator Waters be agreed to.
