Senator DUNIAM (Tasmania—Assistant Minister for Forestry and Fisheries and Assistant Minister for Regional Tourism) (15:41): I seek leave to make a short statement. The DEPUTY PRESIDENT: Leave is granted for one minute. Senator DUNIAM: Real wages growth under the Morrison government of 0.07 per cent is in line with the 20-year average and is the same as the average under Labor's last term in government. The fact is that wages are forecast to grow by 1¾ of a per cent through the year to the June quarter 2021 and 1½ per cent to the June quarter 2022. The key to lifting real wages is lifting productivity growth, and that's why we've focused on lowering taxes, investing in infrastructure, equipping our workers with better skills and improving our industrial relations framework. The DEPUTY PRESIDENT: The question is that general business notice of motion No. 914 standing in the name of Senator Gallagher be agreed to.
