Senator DUNIAM (Tasmania—Assistant Minister for Forestry and Fisheries and Assistant Minister for Regional Tourism) (15:40): I seek leave to make a short statement. The PRESIDENT: Leave is granted for one minute. Senator DUNIAM: The government acknowledges the efforts of all workers in the aged-care, health and disability sectors regardless of their membership in a union. The government has implemented a pandemic leave disaster payment to support those who don't have paid leave entitlements yet have been directed to isolate for 14 days when they otherwise would have been working. This includes workers in the aged-care, health and disability sectors. The payment is currently available in Victoria and Tasmania, and the Prime Minister has written to state premiers, extending the offer if required.
