Senator DUNIAM (Tasmania—Assistant Minister for Forestry and Fisheries and Assistant Minister for Regional Tourism) (12:10): I seek leave to make a short statement. The PRESIDENT: Leave is granted for one minute. Senator DUNIAM: The National Relay Service remains fully funded, at $22 million per year. The government has awarded Concentrix a new three-year contract to deliver the NRS, through a competitive tender process which was designed to get the best value for money and to meet different needs of people who rely on the NRS. The government stands ready to provide continued access to CapTel for existing users should the underlying rights holder, a US company, Ultratec, agree to provide access to Concentrix. No agreement has been reached, but discussions continue. The PRESIDENT: The question is that motion No. 248 be agreed to.
