Senator RUSTON (South Australia—Assistant Minister for International Development and the Pacific) (16:00): I seek leave to make a short statement. The DEPUTY PRESIDENT: Leave is granted for one minute. Senator RUSTON: In a few days time, 500 athletes from 18 nations, including 72 Australians, will compete in individual and team sports, including archery, athletics, indoor rowing, road cycling, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby and many more, at the Invictus Games. The Invictus Games uses the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and ill active service members and veterans. The games are an opportunity to honour the service and sacrifice of the men and women who defend our freedoms and values. Australians can be proud of our team. Question agreed to.
