The PRESIDENT (10:01): I inform the Senate that I have received a letter from Senator Kakoschke-Moore resigning her place as a senator for the state of South Australia. Pursuant to provisions of section 21 of the Constitution, I have notified the Governor of South Australia of the vacancy in the representation of that state. I also informed the Governor that I was not in a position to advise that it was a vacancy to which section 15 of the Constitution applied and that the matter must be put before the Senate.
