I have notified the Governor of Western Australia of the vacancy caused by his resignation. I table that correspondence. I also inform the Senate that I have received correspondence from Senator Ludlam resigning his place as a senator for Western Australia, and from Senator Waters resigning her place as a senator for Queensland. I have notified the Governors of Western Australia and Queensland of the vacancies caused by these resignations, but have advised them that the matters connected to the vacancies will need to be put before the Senate.
