Senator WRIGHT (South Australia) (15:51): I, and on behalf of Senator O'Neill, move: That the Senate— (a) notes the commitment made by the current Minister for Education and Training (Mr Pyne) in the 2013 federal election to introduce a needs based disability loading under the Gonski school funding reforms by 2015; (b) recognises that more than 100 000 students with a disability do not receive any funded support at school; and (c) calls on the Government to keep its election promise to properly resource disability education, and include necessary funding for a needs based disability loading in the upcoming federal budget.
