Mr ABBOTT (Warringah—Leader of the Opposition) (14:06): I rise to support the eloquent words of the Prime Minister. Yes, Australia has lost another fine soldier. SAS Sergeant Blaine Diddams was truly a remarkable warrior. As the Prime Minister pointed out, he was on his seventh tour of duty to Afghanistan and had been previously deployed on four occasions to Somalia, East Timor and the Solomon Islands. He was 'a warrior's warrior'. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Toni-Ann; his children, Elle-Lou and Henry; and his parents, Peter and Cate. Some 33 Australians have now paid the highest possible price for our freedom. This country is truly honoured to have had such men in its service.
